Medford Library has four types of areas avaialble for use by students, faculty, and staff of USCL: computers, soft seating, tables, and carrels. Most spaces are for solo work with some group tables available.

Medford Library has five study rooms available for use by students: three Group Study Rooms and two Group Project Study Rooms. Group Study Rooms have a table, chairs, a whiteboard, markers, and a whiteboard eraser. Group Project Study Rooms (Rooms 4 and 5 only) also have a DVD player and a device-compatible monitor. All study rooms are located on the 1st floor of the library.
